Decline in physical and mental health heve been a serious concern for many college students in recent years. Eariler findings report that impulsivity is related to health-related issues of college students, such as binge drinking, smoking, eating disorder, etc. ‘The Strength model of self-control’ suggests that self-control training, which requires regular practice of self-control behaviors , can lower the impulsivity. Results of earlier studies based on this model have shown that certain types of regular physical activities can work as effective self-control training. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of self-control training as a form of intensive and regular exercise class on the impulsivity and general health status among college students.
